The library’s mission is to support and enhance learning, instruction, and research at Five Towns College by providing appropriate personnel, facilities, materials and services to meet the informational needs of the entire College community.  The library offers both print and digital resources, as well a large collection of media to support the curriculum.  In addition to a large collection of books, students can also check out music and films.  Textbooks, items on teacher reserve, and reference materials can also be used in the library.  Electronic research databases for all major degree areas and a full-text digital library allow students to conduct research remotely, from any location where Internet access is available.  The library’s online catalog is also available anywhere, anytime, so students can determine whether or not the library has what they need.  And, if not, it can be obtained either through interlibrary loan or by submitting a purchase request to one of the librarians.  Students can get help finding and citing information, print out their research papers, read the daily newspapers, get sheet music or a monologue for an audition, or just check out a good book to read or film to watch.  All of this and more is possible at the Five Towns College Library.
