Graduate Music Studies Incentive (GMSI)

Overview

As an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), the College is proud to offer our Graduate Music Studies Incentive (GMSI) to support musicians interested in furthering their education in music and music-related master’s degree programs. The GMSI provides financial support, up to fifty percent (50%) of the tuition, to further our commitment to access and affordability.

Eligibility: M.M. and M.P.S

All students admitted to our Master of Music (M.M.) and Master of Professional Studies (M.P.S.) programs are eligible for the GMSI.

Students who enter either program in the Fall of 2024 will receive a GMSI equivalent to fifty percent (50%) of the cost of tuition, with a maximum award of $7187.50 per semester and a maximum total award of $14,375.00 over the two-semesters of this program. Fulltime students who take advantage of this opportunity will be responsible for $14,375.00 in tuition and the $1500.00 annual universal fee, totaling $15,875.00, for the two semesters along with any other fees associated with the chosen program area.

Note: Students who elect to complete the program in two semesters must carry fifteen credits in each. Part-time students will only be eligible for the GMSI in their first two semesters and will be required to complete all remaining credits needed, over subsequent semesters, without any scholarship benefit.

Note: The College seeks to engender graduate study without increasing student debt. Students who choose to participate in the M.M. or M.P.S. programs may only utilize student loans to cover the direct costs of tuition, required fees, and housing and meal costs associated with residing on-campus. Monthly payment plans are available through the Bursar’s Office to further reduce borrowing.

Eligibility: M.A.T.
