Five Towns College Spotlight: Phillip R. Scott III, Class of 2012

Phillip

Phillip R. Scott III deserves recognition. As a graduate of the Five Towns College Class of 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree of Professional Studies in Music Business, and a beneficiary of the NYS HEOP program, Phillip became an expert and excelled with his vocal and songwriting talents. Throughout Phillip’s college years, he interned at the Westbury Music-NYCB Bank Theatre. Phillip also interned at WLNY TV10 and volunteered at the YMCA Boulton Center in Bay Shore, New York.

After graduation, Phillip started working at Small Business Solutions in Bay Shore, New York as assistant to the controller; also, he continued his dedication to his songwriting career.

Phillip’s passion for music production inspired his return to Westbury and YMCA Boulton Center part-time to acquire both experience and knowledge in all facets of the music business. Phillip’s motto is, “No task is too large or too small.” His philanthropic desires are realized when he volunteers for a host of charity, good health awareness and fundraising drives.

In September 2015, Phillip’s first single song titled “Think B4 Sound” was released on iTunes, Amazon and Googleplay. While his melodic music speaks to a universal audience, the words strike our social consciousness in remembering to always be care-filled b4 we speak to one another.

Further, on November 19, 2015, Phillip will be honored as one of five Long Island Young Professionals who are helping raise awareness for heart disease and stroke.

Congratulations to one of Five Towns College alumni who has already made a name for himself and has filled the world and community with his caring, music and great soul!
