The excellent journalism of FTC Mass Comm students was recognized at the 2019 Press Club of Long Island Awards on June 6th.
Starr Fuentes won first place for student journalist video feature package for her report on the Great South Bay Music Festival.
Fuentes won a second award when she and classmates Danna Diamond and Michael Rossello were awarded second place for radio news journalism for their WFTU Radio report and discussion, “Food Insecurity on Campus.” The team previously won a Folio Award presented by the Fair Media Council in March for this impactful story.
