Annie DiBiasi
Class of 2011
B.P.S. Business Management/Music Business
Annie graduated from Five Towns College in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (B.P.S.) and a concentration in Music Business. During her college years, she was SGA President, worked at the Performing Arts Center doing lighting, and started interning at Blackheart Records (Joan Jett’s record label). Currently, she is the singer & guitarist for the all-female rock n’ roll band, Jackknife Stiletto, now signed to Blackheart Records.
Annie started a booking company, Heldback Productions, while she was a student. In addition, she runs a company with her band-mates, VXC Industries, LTD, that is dedicated to PR, radio campaigns, & promoting female musicians.
While interning for Blackheart Records, Annie was sent on the Vans Warped Tour and had many exciting opportunities. Following graduation, she toured with Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and is now their Assistant Tour Manager, Lighting Director, and Merchandise Manager.
In addition to being a part of Joan Jett’s Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame induction, Annie has been a part of many U.S. tours with other bands, including Heart, Cheap Trick, Styx, Boston, and The Who. She has worked with the Blackhearts on several TV shows and events such as Wrestlemania, MLB All-Star Games, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Jay Leno Show, The David Letterman Show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and Live with Kelly and Michael.
Annie is doing many of the things she always hoped to do and has returned to campus to share her experiences in the music and entertainment industry with current students.
