Thanksgiving 2015: FTC Tradition
Several years ago, FTC started a new tradition. Closing the College on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving always seemed like the right thing to do. After all, faculty, staff and students need time to spend with their families and to take a pause from their regular routines.
This is a tradition that continues and members of the FTC community are wished much health and happiness during the holiday. As Interim President Susan Barr stated so eloquently, “We heal old wounds, reconcile differences, find strength and hope for the future. We teach the young as we develop a legacy of traditions, and we take the time to reflect upon our gifts and give thanks for them.”
Five Towns College is a strong and vibrant campus. We all have so much to be thankful for and much to look forward to as we forge ahead into 2016. Though there is still much to do, this small college campus has proven time and time again that it is tight-knit, steady and supportive, warm and inviting.
Thank you to all who participated in and worked hard to welcome the NCATE team to our campus. As a community, FTC stands proud as putting its “best foot forward” to unite and welcome this team. We hope they enjoyed their visit and wish them, too, a Happy & Healthy Thanksgiving!
Enjoy the holiday everyone and lots of love and best wishes from FTC!
