THE REGULARS rock the Five Towns College sponsored Clamshell Bandshell at The Great Bay Music Festival.
The Great South Bay Music Festival in Patchogue is packed with four days of music, food and crafts.Musical band “The Regulars” kicked off Friday’s highly anticipated festivities. They played a unique blend of funk, soul, and reggae. They also performed a cover of “Valerie” by Amy Winehouse which kept the crowd swinging.Caitlyn Padeletti loved watching her friends rock the crowd. She said, “The music community on Long Island is fantastic and seeing our friends perform was amazing.”
Including The Regulars, the Great South Bay Music Festival features more than 65 bands through Sunday, such as The Front Bottoms, The Devon Allman Project and Sublime with Rome.

Besides music on three different stages, the festival offers a wide variety of craft tents where you can purchase unique and natural products.Diane Bard makes handmade soap out of natural vegetable oils. She said, “I wanted to create something that would appeal to a wide community, yet still allow me to be immersed in texture, fragrance, and color. I received a gift of handmade soap from an old friend and my journey began.”She says her soaps are rich in antioxidants, vitamins & nutrients that are essential for having healthy skin. Lavender seems to be a crowd favorite.Brianna Cannon showed off her handmade jewelry business, Meraki Rame, that she runs with her friend Stephen Peabody.With the magic of electrochemistry, they are able to make copper crystal jewelry.“Here at Meraki Rame, We put our love and soul into every piece we create. We take pride in providing high-quality electroformed copper coupled with an array of natural gemstone,” Brianna said.

A regular Great South Bay Music Festival attendee Kim Manzo stopped by Meraki Rame. “ My daughters love crystals and gemstones I think these will make great gifts for them,” she said.Brianna distributes the homemade jewelry to local Long Island stores such as Utopia in Centereach. She also has an online story on Etsy.com.If you’re hungry, no worries.
There are plenty of vendors to provide food and drinks. The L.I. Kettle Corn Company came from Bethpage to share their savory popcorn and homemade lemonade with the festival’s attendees.

They squeeze fresh lemons right in front of you and flavor the lemonade with natural homemade ingredients.John Johnson has been a part of running this delicious business since it opened about a year ago. He said, “We are hoping to grow our company during our time here. We plan on staying in business for a long time.”From the music to the vendors, The Great South Bay Music Festival is the place to be at Shorefront Park in Patchogue.
